SUMMARY OF WARRANTY TERMS Issue 2023/01/1.2

Gas fireplace warranty claims may be valid from 12 months of delivery to a Purchaser, with the exceptions noted below and please see concrete products below, not from the date of installation. Full details of any warranty issue must be reported in writing by the original Purchaser before any rectification procedure can be implemented, including the End User’s name and address, product serial number, original date of supply, installation date, the installer’s name and Gas Safe registration number (where appropriate). Telephone technical support is always available 8am-6pm. In the event of an issue, installers are encouraged to call 0207 183 1806 WHILST ON-SITE or to return to site for a telephone consultation.

​URBAN OUTDOORS BRANDED BESPOKE GAS, WOOD, BIOETHANOL OR ELECTRIC FIREPLACES have a 12-month mechanical warranty which covers telephone technical support in the first instance - in the event of any issue the installer should be encouraged to call 0207 183 1879 for advice before leaving site. If this requirement has been complied with and a fault remains, an engineer may visit the End User by arrangement (following a written request made by the Purchaser). Any faults found to be caused by poor installation practice or user error will be chargeable to the End User on the day. Urban Fires branded bespoke fireboxes constructed from 316 stainless steel are warranted for life against mechanical defect, subject to regular cleaning according to the instructions supplied. These cleaning instructions include the need by the End User to regularly apply suitable protection (such as WD40 or baby oil at least twice per year). This warranty does not apply to fireboxes constructed of 304 stainless steel or galvanised steel. The use of a suitable weathercover when an outside fireplace is not in use is required to maintain the warranty. User actions such as changing batteries or transformers, an electronic reset of the Receiver or handset are not covered by the warranty. Remote control handsets are not weatherproof and should be stored carefully in dry conditions when not in use. An annual service is mandatory for all gas appliances.

URBAN OUTDOORS BRANDED INDIVIDUAL GAS BURNERS have a 12-month mechanical warranty which covers telephone technical support in the first instance - in the event of any issue the installer should be encouraged to call 0207 183 1879 for advice before leaving site. If this requirement has been complied with and a fault remains, an engineer may visit the End User by arrangement (following a written request made by the Purchaser). Any faults found to be caused by poor installation practice or user error will be chargeable to the End User on the day. Urban Fires branded burners warranty is subject to regular Maintenance & Cleaning according to the instructions supplied. These cleaning instructions include the need by the End User to use a weathercover whenever the burner is not in use. The use of a suitable weathercover when an outside fireplace is not in use is required to maintain the warranty. An annual service is mandatory for all gas appliances.

URBAN OUTDOORS BALANCED FLUE FIREPLACES have a 24-month mechanical warranty which covers telephone technical support in the first instance - in the event of any issue the installer should be encouraged to call 0207 183 1879 for advice before leaving site. If this requirement has been complied with and a fault remains, an engineer may visit the End User by arrangement (following a written request made by the Purchaser). Any faults found to be caused by poor installation practice or user error will be chargeable to the End User on the day.

​ESCEA BALANCED FLUE indoor fires have a TWO YEAR MECHANICAL WARRANTY which covers telephone technical support in the first instance. In the event of any issue the installer should be encouraged to call 020 7183 1806 for advice before leaving site. If this requirement has been complied with and the fault remains within 12 months of installation, an engineer will visit the End User by arrangement (following a written request made by the original Purchaser). In the second year following installation, the Company’s liability is restricted to the supply of spare parts free of charge plus any shipping charges. In all cases, any issues found to be caused by poor installation practice or End User error may be chargeable to the End User on the day at the Company’s discretion. Valid cosmetic issues are covered by repair or replacement of the component concerned. Photographs will be required in advance of authorising such a repair or replacement.

​ESCEA BRANDED STANDARD SIZE OUTSIDE FIREPLACES have a ONE YEAR MECHANICAL WARRANTY and a second year parts-only warranty which covers telephone technical support in the first instance. In the event of any issue the installer should be encouraged to call 020 7183 1806 for advice before leaving site. If this requirement has been complied with and the fault remains within 12 months of installation, an engineer will visit the End User by arrangement (following a written request made by the original Purchaser). Any issues found to be caused by poor installation practice or End User error may be chargeable to the End User on the day at the Company’s discretion. Valid cosmetic issues are covered by repair or replacement of the component concerned. Photographs will be required in advance of authorising such a repair or replacement.

​POLISHED & INDUSTRIAL FINISH CONCRETE PRODUCTS Every one of our handmade concrete firepits will be unique and each may be permeated by a rich complexity of colour or shade variation. No single sample or image can tell the whole story. Our six colours offer a balanced range in a contemporary design - rich and natural - but every firepit will be different to a certain extent.

As with all polished/industrial-finish concrete, the final appearance will be influenced by the hand-finishing and curing process.

Urban Outdoors concrete products are manufactured in a closed environment but variables must be taken into consideration such as; weather/ambient temperatures on the day of the pour, for example. However, this is one of the many beauties of concrete as it will be completely individual to the next product, even of the same colour.

​Concrete products do not come with any warranty and all types of purchasers agree by ordering the product. Each is inherently strong, but like many materials cannot withstand rough handling in transit or during the installation process. We provide exceptional export-grade crating for transit. If the crate is damaged please inspect the products inside immediately and report to us in writing within 48 hours. If placed heavily on a hard surface, concrete can be stres, resulting in fissures which may open during frosty weather or under hot conditions, or even when the fire is in use. It is permissible to fill any such fissures with proprietary fillers available from any DIY store.

Our warranty conditions enhance your statutory rights. Outside as inside - 365 days a year - rain, storm, snow, salt, sand or sun, the Cubic outdoor kitchen will withstand all weather conditions when properly installed.

Warranty claims for Cubic Outdoor Living products may be valid for up to 10 years from the date of delivery to a Purchaser, with the exceptions noted below, not from the date of installation. In the unlikely event of a claim, full details of any warranty issue must be reported in writing by the original Purchaser before any rectification procedure can be implemented, including the End User’s name and address, product serial number, original date of supply, installation date, the installer’s name and Gas Safe registration number (where appropriate). The weatherproof Cubic material used for construction of the kitchen modules (cabinets) itself is guaranteed for 10 years against deterioration from climatic conditions when installed by an authorised installer and provided normal cleaning and annual maintenance has been carried out by the end user or their agents. Installation and user instructions are provided with every kitchen and any competent team should be able to provide a perfect installation.

For domestic use, all Cubic outdoor kitchen and furniture products, except for cushions, covers and fabrics (including textilines), are guaranteed for a period of five years against any manufacturing defect that may affect their sustainability for use. This applies to normal conditions of use and maintenance. The warranty of course includes metal components such as hinges and handles. These may on occasion show traces of rust in certain climatic conditions, but functionality will not be impaired.

Our unique and hygienic ceramic worktop construction is also warranted for five years, subject only to the exclusion of accidental damage, mishandling during the unpacking or installation process or damage caused by contact with acidic products. The weatherproof warranty will only apply to a kitchen properly installed and installed in accordance with the instructions supplied and only with a Cubic worktop. Depending on the local climate, you may have to prepare your outdoor kitchen for seasonal changes. Drain the outdoor sink for winter. Shut off the water supply and open the tap. You should also remove the U-shaped drainage trap to ensure that no water will be held. If there is a fridge or dishwasher, they should be turned off. Drain the dishwasher. Any damage caused by freezing of water is not covered by our warranty.

Appliances (such as BBQs, fridge, etc) are warranted by the original manufacturer, usually for two-five years. Warranty material is supplied by the original manufacturer or distributor. Contact your Cubic reseller in the event of an issue.

Warranty claims for kitchens which have been modified in any way without previous written approval by the factory are excluded and do not apply to visual imperfections resulting from the passage of time or normal wear and tear. Circumstances not covered by this warranty include, but are not limited to, the fading or change in the shade of colours, changes in wood texture, scratches resulting from normal use, etc. For non-domestic use, for example by the hotel and catering industry, condominium entertaining spaces and multiple users all Cubic products, except cushions, covers and fabrics, are guaranteed for a period of two years. This commercial warranty is subject to the same conditions as outlined above.

In all cases, any issues found to be caused by poor installation practice or End User error may be chargeable to the End User on the day at the Company’s discretion. Valid cosmetic issues are covered by repair or replacement of the component concerned. Photographs will be required in advance of authorising such a repair or replacement.
