Structural Logic: Firepits & Firetables
Unlike standard cast-resin or concrete units prone to weight, access issues and surface degradation, our firepits employ architectural construction methodologies whilst maintaining a genuine 'carved from solid stone' appearance:

> The Space Frame: Rigid but lightweight chassis fabricated from 50x20mm rectangular hollow-section 304 stainless steel.
> Surface Cladding: 6mm Italian or Spanish porcelain, fully mitred edges with no joins, up to 3000mm in length. Up to 30 colours and finishes.
> Load Profile: Monolithic stone aesthetics achieved at a fraction of the weight, allowing two-person delivery and installation on restricted-access roof terraces or inner gardens.
> Dimensional Parameters: Built to custom dimensions up to 3000mm as single-piece units (larger spans achieved via minimal-visibility architectural joins).
> Integration: Rebatelines, built-in levelling, internal drainage, and integrated ventilation standard; burner units lift out without tools via flexible lines.
> Firetable Base Finishes: Available in matching porcelain, brushed 304 stainless steel (zero visible welds), or powder-coated galvanised steel (custom RAL).
> Options: Integrated shadow-gap & LED lighting.

Frameless Wall Fires: Thermal & Environmental Engineering
Engineered to maintain a clean, frameless aperture over extended operational cycles without thermal distortion or acoustic pinging.

> Chassis Construction: Rigid, black weather-coated 2mm galvanised steel or 304 stainless steel standard; 316 marine-grade stainless steel specified for coastal projects. Internal drainage, and integrated ventilation.
> Thermal Management: Designed to absorb daily heat-cycle expansion and contraction without metal fatigue or damage to aesthetic surfaces.
> Finishing Detail: Removable folded edge allow contractors to render or tile directly to the firebox opening.

Signature Burner Technology
> Aerated Combustion: The Signature UF950 burner utilises a regulated gas/air mix for a high-heat, realistic yellow flame without sooting or staining.
> Wind Resistance: Operates without unsightly glass windscreens. The safety pilot is concealed below the top surface while remaining fully compliant with normes.
> Enclosure Rating: All electronic components, motorised valves, and receivers are housed in an IP-55 rated enclosure.
> Control Interfaces: Handset remote, mobile application, or integration with home automation protocols.
> Media: Formed ceramic glass aggregate (fired at 1600°C) prevents degradation, blowing, or shifting compared to loose volcanic rock. Optional High Definition ceramic logs or pebbles.

Burner Regulatory Compliance & Certification
> Certification: UKCA/CE certified under the GAD essential requirements using BS EN 613:2001+A1:2003, for installation throughout Europe - and made in the UK in an ISO9002 environment. Notified Body identification PIN number CE 0359.
> Gas Compatibility: Engineered specifically for UK gas types G20, G30, G31 and pressures (avoiding compatibility issues inherent to parallel-imported North American or Chinese producs). Use on G30 (Butane) isn't recommended.
> Servicing: Urban outdoor gas burners engineered to avoid being fixed in place and will lift out on flexible energy suppiles without tools.
> Installation: Mandates Gas Safe registration (including supplied LPG conversion kits).

Technical FAQ
Do Urban Outdoors firepits require glass wind screens?
No. Wind resistance is engineered into the burner positioning (sub-surface pilot) and protected IP-55 internal components, eliminating the need for protective glass barriers.

What are the structural weight advantages?
By substituting cast concrete with a 304 stainless steel space-frame and 6mm porcelain skin, structural dead-load is drastically reduced, enabling manual two-person site handling.

Are custom dimensions available?
Yes. Every unit is fabricated to exact project specifications up to a 3000mm continuous width.
What grade of steel is used for marine environments?
316 marine-grade stainless steel is specified to prevent saline corrosion on coastal roof terraces or beachfront properties.

Is the Signature burner remote control?
Yes. The remote control handset controls ignition, the safety system, and flame height/heat output. Optionally, the burner can be controlled by phone/tablet app via home WiFi or can be connected to home automation via Control 4 protocols.
